Blue phantom is easy, general omnivore.

Blue panaque needs soft wood to eat, and lots of veggies. Avoid too-frequent meaty foods.

My blue panaque was very brave and active all day in a 30g, but turned hidey in a bigger tank. I eventually traded him back in for something...I forget what. Maybe my huge spotted raph.

I have a green phantom, and they behave the same as the blue phantom, very bold and quick to food. Easily fed in a busy tank, unlike the often-shy panaque, which is why soft wood should be provided for the panaque, especially in a busy tank.

both very cool plecos, with both i have seen some stunning plecos with insane blue colouring.

The blue panaque isn't actually a panaque species, it's actually a Baryancistrus species. Bring such I don't believe it requires wood for food.

My understanding is blue panaque are l239 vs ble phantoms are l128 so I think he was talking about recieving two different kind of plecos.

one of the other posters was saying that the L239 needs wood because it was a panaque and electric was just stating that it wasnt a true panaque i believe
