pleco's fins

Today i got a common pleco its 8" the LFS guy told me its a female
anyway,,i noticed that the top of its fins (spikes) are broken specially
first big one , its not totally broken but its not sharp as it should be
so is it gonna heal again or what
also its acting like a stone i mean its not moving at all and refuse to eat
anything i know its kinda normal as a new comer but for how long it'll be like that
is there any suggestions to make it feel comfortable
btw there is one tankmate its 7" channa sp

Plecos are nocturnal and they are usually "stones" in the daytime. The snakehead could be intimidating it also. Give it a clay pot or some driftwood to make it feel at home more.

i have a lot of hiding places so i guess there is no need to add woods or what so ever ,but am lil bit concerned about its fins damage
i'll try to take some pics
