plecos for a 55 gallon

Zebra pleco! They only get 4 or 5" and they look stinkin' sweet...kinda picky about water quality and like sandy substrate with rocks and water flow, with neutral to acidic PH

Royals get huge though, But they grow slow slow you will have time to upgrade when that time comes.

If you go with Royals, have lots of wood, and lots of filtration. Wood eaters produce a ton of waste.

What about something in the Leporacanthicus family? Vampire/Galaxy (L7/240) or Sultan (264) or triactis/three beacon (L91)?
