I am setting up a tank for fancy goldfish. I have had fancy goldfish tanks in the past and really want to get into fancy goldfish again. The tank will have driftwood and Jungle Vallisnena. I want to know are there any Pleco's that I can keep with fancy goldfish. Prefer to find a Pleco that does not get to large. Any suggestions or idea's. Thanks.

Look over Chaestostoma spp. These are coldwater species although they prefer currents in their tank which the goldfish may be unable to tolerate. With both plecos and goldfish, your tank will require massive filtration to cope with the wastes and minimize feeding rations.

Lupin...

Do all plecos. dine on slime coats?

He is better off doing a smaller sp. than a common or Gibbi that might try to suck the slime coat off slow moving fish.

Plecos tend to dine on slime coats only if their dietary menu is inadequate. I was suggesting the rubber-lipped plecos which are in fact smaller than the common species.
