So I re arranging some my tanks. I want to keep my sunshine plecos by themselves if possible. How many do you think could fit comfortably in a 50g at 4 to 6 inch size? Also I have a 2 inch L114, would this be safe with the larger sunshines? Thanks

Goldys are one of the most aggressive plecos I have. I would not recommend putting more then 4 in that tank. Unless you load it up with tons of caves and hiding spots like having a decent amour of driftwood in there too.

thanks for the input. have lots of drift wood and was thinking three goldies and my small L114 so i guess will give it a try. Do you think I should not add the L114 then? Are they mostly aggressive with each other or to other plecos as well? thanks

in my cases they were aggressive towards the other plecos. I have a 11 inch one as long as he is the biggest he does just fine if I try to put somone bigger in there he will kill it! He is the one that killed my giant L95(my avitar) it was a bad day for sure!

in2cichlids have you tried keeping several sunshine together? I had a pair of six inch ones in my 75g. My female got seriously injured. basically looks like fish tried to rip her pectoral fin off. I thought it was the male but most people think my ropefish was the most likely culprit. What are your thoughts?
