Hey, i just got my 75G tank and was wondering if i could transplant my pleco in to it, i wasnt sure if they fair well in sand, so i was just wondering, thanks :D

yeah they should be fine

i had three common plecs on play sand didnt seem to bother them

yes plecos are ok in sand.

Plecos don't even care about substrate for the most part.
My BN's have been on sand, gravel and barebottom and they show the same behavior either way.

Course gravel IME makes my pleco's want to spend more time on driftwood and softer ornamnts. However when I transfered it to fine 3mm gravel, they were much more accepting of it.

Mine never had problems if you can Id toss in maybe some small gravel if not no worries. Just toss in discs they will forget about hangin in what you had. One of my tanks half and half Im sure its gonna be fine :)

I agree with the previous replies - my 2 Bristlenose have been happy on pea gravel, no gravel and I just moved them on to sand last Sunday. The sand is now covered in Pleco sucker shapes! If anything they seem even happier messing about in the sand! Go for it. They seem to love it.
