Plecos sensitive to medication?

That depends what they are sick with. Formalin is safe for treating ich, as is victoria green. Salt is a no-no for the most part. And some species of pleco will tolerate more than others.

I've used salt with my own plecos with no issues. The key is to dissolve the salt properly. I have a 4-5 year old bristlenose (entering 5 this year) that tolerates salt too well. I once accidentally spilled a portion of the undissolved salt and she just grazed on it absentmindedly trying to eat some food mixed with it and returned to her usual clay pot turf. What a weirdo. No violent reactions at all. She's still happily lounging in my tank until this day.

I have used salt with my 3 pleco's with no issues, i just let it dissolve in my sump and it is pumped into my tank. And in my experience salt fixes almost everything :headbang2

Salt does nothing that clean water can't do IMO. I've never used it (except in my marine and brackish setups of course).
