Hey MFK

I Wanna keep a tank full of placos! But its going to be funny if i dont have any "moving" fishes inside it.

Any idea what fishes go well with slow growing plecos?
Fishes which will not eat up my plecos.
Will plecos eat small fishes like neon tatra when they are really big?

Thanks for your help guys!
Cheers!

most everything can go with them i have even seen them with piranha. except rays they will suck there slime coat off. also just make sure it cant fit in anythings mouth or it can kill him and the other fish that tried to eat him . and i never heard of one eating a neon or a small fish but never know

He is a many, given the mostly peaceful nature of this fish.
If you given him a lot algae cost he will getting to big, but be carefully ph get high.

Anything like a neon would be safe from pleco tastes. Just watch for filament biting, as pleco whips can look awfully appetizing.

I agree with pleco only tanks. I had 1 for awhile and loved it. Athough I have gotten away from them as of late. Its all up to what you wanna keep. Right now i have a L191, L52, and a L001 in my 220 CA/SA cichlid community, and the 191 alone makes me wanna fill it with plecos.

I have mostly tetras/charcins with my plecos. You may want to consider cardinal tetras for the warmer water plecos, plus I think they're prettier than neons. I also have ornate tetras and marbled hatchet fish in the smaller tank with L204s. In the larger tank for the L114s I have congo tetras, diamond tetras and apistogramma borelli.
