Plecos with rays..what kind work with yours

I am now at the point where the brown algae on my big tank is driving me nuts and I am going to get a pleco. Just looking for some suggestions on what kinds work and do not suck on rays. I am looking for something bigger as my big ray has single handedly sucked the guts out of the back of 6 Large bristlenose.

Nocturnal would be best!

Thanks and yes I know the risks of plecos with rays.
 
never tried it but have seen gold nugget and sunshine plecos with rays... have a friend that has a scarlett with his leo but that was just added 3 weeks ago...
 
the pleco's need to be one's that eat leaty food lke the ray's , so they can eat leftovers en etc en wont hurt the ray's
 
have you got a UV on the tank ?

what are the nitrates ?
 
put a flagtail in the tank if their is that much brown crap he wont have anytime to suck on the rays he will be to busy cleaning up

you watch the flagtail when the brown crap has all gone a flagtail is 100x better than a pleco

Will they actually clean as good as plecos?
 
it depends on the pleco, i had one pleco that sucked the disks... was then killed by my motoro, it actually stung it went through the gills, I have another one in my tank right now and he doesnt bother the rays, and he will actually eat left overs as well
