I am going to start keeping catfish and am starting with a lima, but most importantly is that he will be moved out of the 55 in a year or so (don't have him yet, but was told I could keep him a year without bad results)...now I want to in the process of him growing starta pleco collection...some that mgith even move in with the lima in the larger tank, what types of plecos do you suggest that could all live in a 55 comfortably for life or a year? I've been looking at royl panque, zebra plecs, ect.

what would be good....I know very little about the species of plecos.

Royals in the end will outgrow a 55 gallon, the zebras would not be good with most fish over 6 inches

Nice job guys, a 2 year old thread. :)
Man... a newbie got me again.

I've noticed 90% of old threads brought back are from newbies.

Most of the time when there are alot of posts, I'll check the date first. The 3 posts got me.

Why do old posts bother people? It consolidates information.
It bothers us because we put a serious well thought answer to it, only to find out the OP has moved on and most likely forgotten about the thread.

I've spent up to an hour before reading a 120 post thread only to figure out it was 4 years old.

I think it's ok just to make a new thread then to bring a thread back that is over a year old.
