I was just wondering if anyone knows any local fish stores in Southern California that carries L-number plecos?

Well most plecos are L-numbered. One of the commons, Sailfins, clowns, and some Bristlenoses are in nearly all fishstores and they have L numbers.
I would have to think that maybe you mean Hypan-type plecos as those come to people minds the most with L numbers.

yea that is what I meant, the Hypan- type pleco, or Pseudacanthicus pleco,or L014,L091, L024, L025, LDA105
