for those of you whose plecos survived the so cal winter, how deep is the pond?

I wouldn't do it. I had a 1' common and like 4 months before winter it was almost dead. I still have it though (Inside)

Unbelievable! I was feeding the fish and the 3" pleco I thought had died shortly after adding is alive and well and is about a foot long. How I never noticed it before is beyond me. Obviously, I'll have to remove it during Winter but at the rate it's growing, I might not be able to house it indoors.

I had the same thing happen with some goldies I put in my pond last june. I never saw them again until the day I pulled the pond out of the ground in the fall. There they were. Doubled in size and color.

I suppose with global warming they will be in the Great Lakes soon.

I wouldnt mind.....
