plecs in ply tanks?

Thinking of making some diy ply tanks (ply with fibreglass/epoxy coating).

I like keeping plecs and am just wondering how they go with sort of tank - considering they have chewing tendancies?

I realise that the ply wood be coated with epoxy resin...

any thoughts?
