Has anyone ever used a Plenum before? I'm interested in possibly using one but was wondering if the benefits of it were real or a matter of opinion. If you have used one what did you use to make it?

plenum's are great but a HUGE HUGE HUGE pain in the butt. I would just use a regular sandbed and save yourself the headaches of the plenum they just cause more work for results that aren't any spectacular then having a regular sandbed and good aquarium husbandry.

Thanks I've been going back and fourth between the two but since I've never used a plenum I was hesitant to try it for that exact reason.
yeah I took the time to do one and wasn't that impressed as they are played to be same result's were achieved with a 5% weekly water change.
