Hello,

this is my first post and I´m from Germany (Hannover). Since 8 weeks i have a group of six channa pleurophthalma. They grow in lightspeed and have made 8cm since they are in my tank. The only problem i have is, that they eat exclusively white Mückenlarven and living fish. Do you have any Idea how i can teach them to eat pieces of fishfilet, sticks, ...

You have to be more stuborn that your fish. Just feed them what you want them to eat. At that size I would not let them starve more than 5 days though.

Try to get them to eat prawn and bloodworm too. Mine never took to eating fish fillet for some reason.

What is your experience with stint, did they eat it?

My pleuros are about 16cm now and i still try to get them on frozen food. They are starving since five days now, but have no interest in the food i offer to them.
On top of that comes that they only hide and have become very shy. This irritates me quite.

If you can inform me please once again of your experiences with Nahrungsumgewöhnung. Maybe somebody has experienced the similar.

why dont you just feed them feeder fish.you know,guppies minnows,goldfish

because it is too expensive, I want them to eat dead food.

try feeding them freeze dry little shrimp from china. brand name :futian freeze dried shrimp. good luck!

a mückenlarve is a larva of a gnat - do you know what i mean?
