Hi, pls help to id this fish for me. got it from a bunch of palmas pollis mixed in it. thanks! :)

that one is P. mokelembembe. apparently becoming harder to find these days for whatever reasons...

it used to be known as retropinnis before it was officially classified as p.mokolembembe. not that rare but not that common either. toyin is usually the only place you can get them from.
 
I'll add my confirmation that you've got Polypterus mokelembembe there. Nice fish! It was a very difficult fish to get for quite some time though it has become more available of late. Still not a commonly encountered bichir though.

Looks like you lucked out to find one seldom seen. I definitely stand corrected. I agree with Joe and the gang after digging a little deeper. The lip is quite distinguishing.
