Pls help ID

Bought him in 2008, was about 3 inches. Now around 9 inches but really have no clue what kind of Pleco it is. If it was a common Pleco, it should now be 18+ inches having lived in a 200 gallon tank for over 2 years now and eats NLS pellets like there's no tomorrow. Hoping some of the experts out there could help ID it. Thank you!

Agreed, gold spot 001. I have one about 4 years old and not much more than 10" SL.
