Boulengeralla maculatus for sure had one was just like a hujeta gar except it was a lot less active and had a little bit of aggression.

Not at all. These are 100% a species of characin. There may be some debate to come in this thread as to the specific identification of the species, but we're definitely dealing with the characin family.
