Pls help to ID

[Xiaolong]

Hello everyone, Can help me ID my fish? I dun know the actual name for this fish. The black strip is super thick and with red belly. Size is 13 inch big. In my country they call it Emperor Blue hook because the black strip is diffence from other and the hook is blue in colour. Here a picture to show:

There are currently three regional variants of the species. Two to me look very similar, but I suspect that the first will soon be described as a different species. This variant sports blue-white finnage with an extremely broad vertical vertical band while the other two have a red anal fin and a narrower black band.

The species is however only imported from time to time, and is collected from Brazil, notably the Rio Negro, Xingu, Araguaia, Venezuela and the Orinoco.

definitely a variant.
but which one?who knows.not me.

To me that looks like an M. Schromburgki. But the overall body shape and colouration is that of M. Torquatus. Im keeping both species and that fish looks amazing!

Im sorry i cant be of more help. But id just call it a reigonal variant of M. schromburgki? Parhaps type 3, as they are starting to be called.
