I woke up this morning to sounds of splashing and things smacking into stuff. I went into the living room to find 1 of my pluero`s was beating on the other 2.
So far 1 has a split tail fin and the other is missing quite a bit of the tail ( will heal in time I`m sure)

I decided i would do some tank maintenance, to get them to stop fighting. I did a waterchange, some algea scrubbing , added a big plastic floating plant for some more cover.
Now the one with the most damage to its tail have sought cover in the floating plant, and is not getting the attention og the aggressor. Tough the other two are still at it.

Any ideas on why they are fighting ? they have been living together for the last few months with no agression towards each other and are about 6-7 inches. I wondering if its a dominance thing as they are slowly maturing ?

Could be territorial mate. Do you have any pics? Do you know the genders of the fish? How big is the tank?

no recent pics, only from when in i picked them up ( http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=241845).
When i first got them i would say it was 1 male and 2 females but now i can`t tell them apart. thay are in a 96 gallon tank (130x50x50 cm)

Things have calmed down a bit not, but evry so often the aggressor will slam its body againts the other fish, and bite at the tail only it seems. there`s no visiable damage other on the tail fins of the 2 other fish

Its a shame, my male is no more, they started having probs like yours...came home from work 1day to find only her,so iam guessing she killed him and he got eaten..
