I just bought a used sump and it has a small hole drilled into the side of it. The hole was drilled by the previous owner so he could install a float valve for an auto top off. He kept the float valve and now Im left with a 1/4" hole on the side of the sump.

Is there something i can use to plug that hole? Jg fitting? RO fitting? Any ideas? Thanks mfk. I need your help to come up with the best solution for this.

Thanks Trent! Silicone is a good idea. I dont know why I didnt think of that. It will be a cleaner look and I can remove it if I need to install a float valve later on. I'm going to tape one side of the hole then over fill it with silicone then shave off the excess with a razor blade on the other side. Should be nice and flush.
I'm loving the other sump I bought from you by the way. The proflex 4. I got that installed and running now. Water is super crispy.

Welcome back! I think you got bored cause you were at the top of your saltwater game. I still think youre crazy for switching. Your salt tank was beautiful man and had top notch corals and high end equipment. Freshwater will be elementary for you.
