  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That is how I do mine it is cheap and free floats lik pop said. I know I have a union there but it was already glued in and I decided to put a chunk of vynal tube in to cut down on the noise

So does using a length of vinyl tubing make it a little more quite?

Also which adapter the tapered thread white or non tapered grey?

I use vinyl, but it's the 6k. That certainly won't work with this, you hard plumbing this I think. I'm not sure where you make up for the lack of extension, hoping you find a more informed response. Are the grey and white fittings identical?

I don't have as much experience as others here, but I just use a 1.5" pvc female/slip and hard plumb to my tank. I don't glue the female slip end directly to the rest of my plumbing as I like to simply disconnect so I may easily remove my pump to clean. The rest of the plumbing is glued of course with unions and union ball valves. No leak at all, it's been 1.5 years since I bought my Jebao.

note sure this help but this is my to pumps on the 180.

For my submerged return pump (Waveline 10000 II) in my sump, I just use the appropriate size schedule 40 (white PVC) true union. I recall my outlet is 1.25".

It's not the greatest picture, but the pump is the black in the picture. I used Teflon and attached the union. Like others said, this is so I can remove when needed (but to be honest I've not ever in over 1 year). I also use other unions throughout for PVC but figured this was the part relevant to your question. HTH.

I used the white fitting pictured above on my pump, you probably only get about 3-4 turns until it gets really tight. It has held up fine.
