Last May, I bought a used 230g/90g sump combo. I had planned on waiting until I move into my new house thise May to set it up. When I decided to purchase some new fish in a recent FishFarm group order, I realized I was going to need to put it into service a little earlier to accomodate my new fish. I've set the tank up in my garage and currently have the FX5 off the 120g filtering the water. I'm not unhappy with this arrangement. But I figured the extra 100g of water in the sump and by topping off the tank would be nice to have. The trouble is, I can't recall how the thing was set up in the previous owners house. I took a few pictures back when I bought it, but they aren't much help. I know it's pretty straightforward, but in the interest of not siphoning 300+ gallons of water onto my garage floor, I thought I would ask for a little help. A couple of the pipes into the overflow box were cut to get the tank off the stand. If anyone could look at these pictures and tell me what I need and how the plumbing should be set up it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

The tank as it sits now. It's not currently full because I have to keep the water level below the outflow opening in the overflow box.

there should be a bulkhead on the left side of the tank. if that bulkhead has a piece of pvc glued then you'll need to get a new bulkhead or clean up the cut part and try to couple the pvc back together. but that should run down to the 90 gallon tank (looks like a straight drop). then the return pump should run back to the outlet end somewhere withing the same region as the overflow. the return line (blowing back into the tank) is usually smaller then the overflow end

as for your sump setup, it looks to be missing the biofiltration. was there anything else that came with the tank?

Thanks for the reply. I didn't realize that I forgot some plumbing at the storage unit where the tank was located. I'm going to go through the pictures of the tank I had before it was disassembled and see if I can piece it together a little more and then I'll post another picture. Thanks again.
