Alright guys.... I have a 125g right now with an AC110 on it only... and a 200g with a 55g sump. I am going to plumb them into a 150g rubbermaid sump. With an auto drip.

I have a couple questions.....

#1 what type of filter bio media should I use? (bio balls? pot scrubbies? rings? going to be put into 5g buckets)

#2 what is a good method for mechanical filtration on a rubbermaid style sump?

#3 where can I pick up a valve to drip into my tank and how much should I drip a day?

#4 My plan for overflow water is plumbing a PVC pipe from the drain in the rubbermaid tank up to the desired water level in the sump.... and then drain into my sump pump pit. Does anyone have a better method???

Thanks in advance guys, really appreciate any input.

I'd use big filter socks for mech filtration and if u get bigger, less changing. For bio media, submerged do ceramics n sachem matrix or pond matrix in dollar store laundry bags so u can wash them. Bioballs n scrubbies aren't effecient when submerged. I'd also put your heaters in the sump.

terrible drawing of my idea.

If I get bigger what is less changing???Where would the filter socks go???Ceramic rings are good for being submerged..... and bioballs pot scrubbies need to be dripped on correct??Thanks a lot for the response.
