So I installed 2 pvc lines directly to my Jebao DCT 8000 pumps and no matter what I do I can’t get the bulkheads that I drilled to seal against the tank. Both of them drip about every 4 seconds each. Does anyone see how I can fix this problem?

I have the o rings installed correctly in the tank on the flange side. Hand tightened them then did a 1/4 turn with a wrench and they both leak.

The gasket cannot take any side load. If the pipe is unsupported it will pull and break the seal. A strap or support should help take the load off the bulkhead.

Tighten it. I had this problem when I set up my 300. I just tightened the bulkhead further and no more leaks.

Alright guys so I appreciate all the reply’s but after all this trial and error I found that the water was coming from the black piece of acrylic that is sealed to that side of the aquarium so it had nothing to do with gasket or bulkhead. So now my question is, what’s the best way to seal the two pieces back together?

So you're saying the bulkhead is going through a double stack of acrylic and water is getting between the acrylic causing it to bypass the gasket? If so, then the bulkhead should be installed backward with the gasket sealing the outside of the tank surface.

Yes, that is exactly what’s happening and I don’t think if I flip the bulkhead that it would look right? Kind of strange having the threads inside the tank but I agree it would fix the issue.
