I have a pump that does 4750GPH for my 300gl and I bought 3/4" pvc for it. It comes out from my sump and once the PVC reaches the back of the 300, I have the PVC fitted to 1/2" and it goes to the top of the tank where it meets a T so the water splits to both ends of the tank. Im trying to get the water to shoot straight down to make a lot of air bubbles. Right now, it goes down maybe 6-7" from the water surface.
I would of thought by splitting it to a smaller diameter, it would make more preassure (I have the 1/2" ends to drilled holes to break the surface of the water)? Is it suppos to or did I do something wrong???
