I am moving my sump to a room that is behind the back of the tank. I have wood paneling so I would like to avoid cutting more holes in the wall. I currently have a hole that is 12 inches from the floor. using the hole will mean that my water will enter at about 5 feet off the ground, flow down to 12 inches off the floor, back up three inches, than dump into the sump. Will this work, or am I asking for trouble?

there will not be any 90 degree turns involved. The plumbing will be a single piece of flex pvc.

yes it will work, but will restrict flow a little, but should work fine, i wouldn't use ribbed flex pipe though, builds up waste quick.

I checked the pipe. Its smooth on the inside, so I shouldn't have any issues with waist buildup due to ribbing. I am worried that I will get waist buildup at the bottom of the loop. I figure this is a temporary solution so I'm not that worried. I'm eventualy (over the next couple months) going to cut holes in the floor and put the sump in the basement. Jsut waiting on money to buy a pump.

I agree.

I would use a pre filter to avoid buildup.

You could always Cut the flex tubbing at both ends of the loop and use barrel connectors to connect them back together. This way you can un connect them and clean if you have to.
