if i have a return pump from my sump rated at 500gal/hr....what width pvc pipe should i have coming from the tank into my sump?..i dont want the pump to pump too fast or too slow..any site i can get this information from would be greatly appreciated..thank you

1" ID PVC with no restriction will allow 600 gph max flow...

Engineers have calculated the details... Chompers researched the subject and put the "article" together... MFK made it a stickie... I just read it, remembered it and referenced it ;-)
