2 points of turbulence seem more restrictive then 1 imo

90s are more restrictive than 2 45s... The chart gives equivalent lengths of fittings for calculating head loss... Regular 90s are more than double 45s. Won't make that much of a difference unless your return is very long, only thing that really makes a difference is the height. http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/resistance-equivalent-length-d_192.html

Ok so putting a single 45 in place of a 90 good but two 45 inplace of a single 90 not good

Head loss from 90s is large compared to 45s.. 2 45s are considerably better than a 90.
