I'm upgrading from my 125 to a 180. The 180 is currently in the garage until I get the plumbing on it figured out. It will be set up as a room divider, viewable from the 2 long sides and 1 short side. It has 6 - 1 inch bulkheads drilled along the middle of the bottom.
These are approx 15, 19 and 33 inches in from each short end, and 1 ft in each long side. It has no weirs or overflows.
I was considering plumbing so the returns to the sump run up the short side which will be against the wall. This would mean running pvc under the substrate. In my initial tests, the pvc wanted to flow as the drains where not at full siphon so they had air.
Is this something worth considering? Any advice how to do it? Should I have it redrilled? Or should I just stand pipe with black pvc and hide with scaping?
Thanks,
John
