Nice looking ripsaw bones , mine seem to be putting weight on now there both about 8/9" , they dont seem to be as quick to the food as my other cats though im hoping this will change when they get to decent size , how long did yours take to get to that size ?

It's years Evz! The smaller one has had a bit of a spurt though he's done a few inches in the last year which given his girth is quite considerable - the larger one who's just shy of 3' hasn't grown for a while.

I'm not certain but i'm sure i've read somewhere that Ripsaw are particularly slow growing due to them living so long, i believe clown loach are the same - interested if someone could confirm either way?

You need to check out Egon's Ripsaw - the thing is about 30" and shaped like a giant football. ;)

I had one that was raised in a 500 gal tank. It was ~5-7 years old and good 3'. I was surprised that he grew so big in such a small tank.
