i want to make a 7x1x2 and have it be a reef or a native tank. i am not made of money and i need to save for a truck so it has to be cheap. first off, how hard is it? second, can i get every thing i need at home depot? how thick of plywood? what epoxy? how thick of acrylic or glass?

Scratch a reef tank off of your list until you are made of money. They are the most expensive to set up and take care of. The cost of a new tank will pale compared to the secondary costs.

Go with a native tank. That way at least your fish will be cheap.

You can get most everything at HD or Lowes except for the glass and resin coating.
