i know half inch glass is good up to 36inches but what about 48 and 60inches?

i tried useing the calculators but they never gave me a reading of 3/4 it went from 36inch (half inch) to one inch and 48 and at 60inches 1.25inches is this correct?

i just looked at glass prices 1inch glass is pricey!

I wouldn't use 1/2" @ 36" height. That is stretching the load limits of glass pretty far.

Well, yes there is somewhat. Typical safety factor for glass is 3.8, but the length of the tank will play a role in the calculations so it is not a hard set rule.

If you drop down to 30", you should be OK with 1/2". I am at 28.5" with 1/2" glass.
