Hi guys i have been pricing things up to start a plywood build my only iffy subject at the moment is the ply is everyone using marine grade ? i can get 19mm stuctural with knots and such for $70 a sheet or marine grade at $180 a sheet. Thoughts, probs, anything

Thanks
Dan

I'm no expert, but i'm pretty sure we just buy the best quality wood, like the $70 sheet you mentioned, and then we use different ways to waterproof the wood..

Marine grade is pressure treated to be used under the water line for boat transoms or boat docks. Not good for aquarium use it'll leach the waterproof /bug restiance chemicals into the water. Best bet is to use birch plywood the thickest you can find. In the States that's 3/4in or about 65millimeters. Here it's slightly cheaper than marine grade.
