I was going to do 8x4x4 pond with plywood. Now looking at how tall 4ft really is. Should I just do 3ft or 2ft?

No viewing windows and for water proofing I’m just dropping in a pond liner. I have a spotted shovel nose Oscar two severums and some convicts that were feeders. Future stocking would be some other cichlids and either a gar or silver arowana. Maybe a red tailed catfish if i come across someone rehoming one
If your not doing a window do it 4' if you are doing a window do it 4' and keep the window 2' and at the top of the 4'. Why would you want them in a pond? You won't be able to appreciate them as well.
I have a 350 pond right now and I like it. Plus a pond is a lot cheaper than paying a for tank of the equivalent size
