Ok after reading for as long as i could take it through these tank builds im going to start my build thread. I will be asking some questions but i have a general idea of what im doing lol.
Pharoh i see you are in Indy so we are pretty close maybe i can get you up here to Muncie some time.
Ok so i have a "Man Cave" and i want a Shark tank in the back of it. I already recently built a wall to have everything hidden in the back.
Here is a front pic of the wall. The space between the speakers is more than 8' it will be between them .
Here is the back of that wall i know it needs cleaned out. But i have roughly 7.5' to the wall and length wise im looking at around 20 feet.
I should also mention there is no water running to this room and no drain but i do have a drain right outside the wall and i can drill and run pipe right to the drain.
Ok so the idea is i am going to build the stand in that room first. Then i will begin the build of the tank.
The Tank will be 96"L x 48"W x 24"H . I think i will build a 2x4 frame for the tank for added support as i do not plan to use fiberglass or resin. I do plan to seal it using the Ames or Pond Coat liquid rubber.
Since this is a 480 Gallon tank My questions would be advice on the best type of filtration, heating, overflow, skimmer etc. I am fine with a link to a thread but explain why you think that would be best for me.
I will have lots of pics and updates as time goes on but this will be a slow build. Dont expect me to be done in a month lol.
Thanks,
Chris
