hi, awhile back i was bored and had some spare materials so i had a go at making a plywood sump, its made out of 3/4" ply and sealed with aquarium silicone and epoxy resin.

what i would like to know is will it be safe to use for a sw tank and if not why (e.g. can i not use plywood and epoxy resin in sw)? and what can i do to make it work?

sorry if this is a stupid question i just want to make sure it is safe before i use it.

THANKS.

I think it will be fine. I made a plywood sump out of plywood and sealed it with fiberglass resin, but didn't use it due to the fact that I can't see through it. As far as I know, epoxy resin is non toxic when it cures.
