I was wondering if any one has detailed plans for this where to get them, such as thikness of wood, glass ext, my plan is 8' x 2.5'x2.5' tank to house SMB and Blue gill, Bullheads and Bowfin if I can find one. Any help would Be much apreciated.

i would suggest half inch ply\osb waferboard, and 3\8 to half

thanks a lot now what about filtration i tried to figure gallons came up with 1800 or so dont know if this is correct or not. so would a fluvale work or 2

garf.org has instructions, cut lists, etc. aimed at salt water, but hey, just don't add the salt.

Thanks garf suggests a two part epoxy coating do you think that a pond liner would work and how would you seal the window silicon wont affect a pond liner will it

it would hold no more than 375 gallons - not 1800;)

i changed the dimensions a little less cutting and garf did not recommend a 2.5' tall tank that long so i'm gona go 8'x4'w x 2'h 477 gallons. what could i use to glue a pond liner in place?

Hot glue, etc. should work. However, the trick will be getting the line done *and* then getting glass, etc. done. Also your viewing window(s), drillouts for a sump filter, etc. would be much harder with the liner. But, there is a DIY here wth folks that have experience, so I'd post there.
