Hi All

I am in the process of planning for my 2200 Liter (approx. 580 us gallons) 10ft x 4ft x 2.5ft plywood/glass tank. I will be starting to order material next week. :nilly:

I am going to use wet n dry trickle filter for main filtration and am interested in suggestions on Flow Rates and also the size of the holes I might need for the overflow to feed the trickle filter. Also what distance from the top edge of the tank these should be to achieve maximum water level height in the tank.

Thanks :)

That would be 748 gallons, unless those are exterior dimensions.

I used an online converter to convert liters to us gallons :screwy: I thought there was 3.8 liters to us gallon :duh:

I used 8x 1.5" bulk heads, that fed into 4x 2" PVC runs. I run 5500 GPH.

Cool, What distance from the top edge of your tank are they?

I'm posting to follow this topic

I want to replace our fireplace with a custom tank (about the same size) too!

Thanks, I will be posting a thread once I get started ;)
