I am trying to build a 8 foot by 4 foot by 2 foot tank for my stingrays / my bearded dragon. Yes both in the same tank. I am going to put a thick diver at the 6 foot mark so that the stingray will have 24 square feet of space and the dragon will have 8 square foot of space. Could you tell me how to build a tank with plywood? Thus will be my first ever project Soooo. I am going to have the front side glass. How long do I need each piece of wood and the piece of glass? How thick? Just give me everything I need to know.

Read the link down at my signature. That thread is a 315G playwood tank I built a year and a half ago. If I were you, I would also read the sticky thread that has other builds in it so you can find a design or build style that goes along with your skill level. I dont think anyone here is going to take the time to tell you the mesurements on every cut you need to make but they will be happy to answer general questions. On a tank the size of the one you are talking about I would start with an external frame made of 2x4s much like you would construct the walls of a house. Line the inside of the frame with plywood at least 1/2" thick. As for the glass, I would use 1/2" plate glass. I have only used liquid rubber to seal a tank but pond armor is another alternative.
