Ok guys I've sorted out the wood for this project, but now I'm trying to source some glass or acrylic.

I'm only going to have one viewing window at the front, sides will be plywood.

I'm looking to have the window sized at around 96" x 36".

I'm on a tight budget so the cheaper the better, but obviously willing to spend the cash needed to do this properly.

Can anyone suggest anywhere I might be able to source a piece of acrylic or glass this big? Cos at the moment all the acrylic people are saying they can't supply a piece that big, and the glass people saying they can't do 1" thick glass at that size.

Am at a bit of a loose end about where to try next?

Thanks in advance

Pete

Do you have any salvage companies in the area? They strip out buildings before remodeling. Old banks, pharmacy drive-ups, check cashing businesses etc.

Just a thought.

I could understand that if it was still Londinium, but @ 7.5 million people plus 12.5 million for the metro area there may be a little salvage company around ;)

Not thrown away!!!:nilly: These places I'm talking about are the ones "calling" for it, they bid on all or part of the salvage job.

Just clarifying.
