Here is what I'm considering:

84Lx30Wx24H

Would it be best to use 3/8 or 1/2" Glass? Garf recommends 3/8" for the tank. I can only do 7' as that is what is the biggest turn I can take with the tank coming up the stairs in my old house. Is it worth building a tank of this size ~262g? I plan on doing a 1 piece top that I will seal after setting the glass window kind of like on an acrylic tank with 2 larger opening for access. Figure the glass will be 80x20. I am planning on using two 1 1/2" overflows one in each corner and a 1" return with a spraybar across the tank. I will probably build a Wet/ Dry out of extra plywood. I figure 3 4x8 sheets of ply wood 2 for the top bottom and faces and one for the two ends and the sump. Figure ~$100 for the plywood. About how many gals of epoxy do I need? I figure I will use either Pond Armour, West Systems, or some other one what does everyone recommend. I hate to find out what the glass is gonna cost:eek:. This will probably take awhile to build as I can get the ply fairly soon but would need to save up for the Epoxy and Glass.

Got my first qoute back plate glass smothed edges. I called 3 places so far 2 have return 1 place doesn't do any plate glass and here is the other qoute not as bad as I expected:

80x20x3/8- $146.36
80x20x1/2- $189.78

go for 1/2 inch since it is not that much more also it is worth it a i was planing on making a 8x3x2 glass was 3/8 though came up too be 740$
