Plywood tank questions

Im thinking about building a plywood tank and i was wondering if using pond armor is truly necessary or if its possible to just use fiberglass..any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I'd def go for the safe side. U really wanna get it all set to have it leak? The price of pond armor will be small cost for a little extra strength

Thanks for the input. I was just messing around at work and threw together a litte plywood box/tank for ****s and giggles and i have a ton of fiberglass and resin so i didnt want to spend the $95 for the pond armor

Regular resin isn't fish safe. If you used marin epoxy you wouldn't have to use pond armor. But I would still use pond armor or sweetwater ontop of your fiber glass.
