Hey peeps. I'm going to be converting my plywood pond to a plywood tank because I'm just sick and tired of only having a top view. Just not as nice by a long shot. I want to place a couple of viewing panels in the front. What I was thinking of doing, and tell me if this is or isn't feasible, would be to leave the pond liner over the plywood framing. Instead of removing the pond liner and epoxying the wood, would it be possible to leave the liner in there and simply remove it from the side I plan on putting the viewing panels in?

I've heard of it done but i've never seen it done. My guess is that it would be possible so long as you have the glass supported some how. If the glass is siliconed to the liner and the liner moves so does the glass, and that is not a good thing, so if you are empting the tank the glass would just fall without the preasure of the water to hold it there.

i dont think that should be a problem. what type of reinforcement should i use? for the panel
