hi just want to no how come you lot in the states build tanks in plywood im in the uk and never see tank made out of wood are they sturdy and how long do they last also what sort of stuff do u need to build one been looking at all ur ideas and it seem a realy good way of building a big tank cheaper than an all glass one thanks for any help

I have a solid design for one that is close to 4000 gal(US). Don't know for a fact that it will work yet, but with all the bracing that I am putting in I don't see how it could not work. Probably costs me about $1000+ just for the wood though.

the oldest tank ive biult is 18 years old built with plywood and epoxy resin from a boat yard and a friend still has the tank its a 4x2x2 then went on to build bigger tanks and used fiberglass mat and epoxy this is hard work to do but it will last for ever if done right ther are other systems like sanitred i believe its called that seem easy to apply only time will tell how long it lasts

I built a 900gal out of 3/4" CDX plywood. It lasted through 3 moves and 17 years before I lost track of its whereabouts when the store I finally sold it to went out of business.
