I'm been designing a 240 gallon plywood tank n I was wondering is there a certain type of plywood to use or will jus standard plywood work?

Standard plywood is fine, the higher quality you get the less sanding you will have to do though.

for thickness it all depends on the water height.

If you have the space go for deeper 6x4x2

How this of glass pane wuld I have to put in there ? 1/2" and 3/4" plywood

with the 6x2x2 3/4 inch ply should be fine also you can use 3/8 inch glass at that water height. with a 4 foot tank it would be best to build 2x4 walls and line them with 1/2 inch ply and at least 1/2 inch glass
