Plz help on how my flowerhorn Died

My flowerhorn just passed and he was doing fine eating chasing my finger all of sudden the past 2 days he stopped eating and his hump went down he was 4-5inch in 37 gallon bowfront I did a 25% water change and then he died today I notice his stomach is white which was bever there until he died and it seems to be some sort of parasite

Sorry for your loss

How often were you doing water changes? If say someone did them inconsistently that could cause osmotic shock from change of TDS for example.

I would do 20-25% every week and every 3 weeks 50% I did this water change 4 daya after a 25% water change tank is bare bottemed but Im confused on the white blotch on his stomach under his fin do you have any ideas

A little hard to tell why it died specifically. These fh’s seem to frequent parasites and hith. I assume underlying infection spread to the belly wall (skin and area were beginning to die) and why it’s white and loss of color. Sorry for the loss.

Thx so would u say my water is fine cause I want to get another in a week or 2 and how much water should I change

Please get a liquid kit and test ur water. Atleast have ur lfs check the water for u till u get a kit. Are u adding a dechlorinator to the water with water changes? How long has the tank been established?
