Hi all im new here i have just got two convict cichlids i was hopeing someone could tell me if this is a girl

best guess would be male but really looks a little small to know for sure. the females will have the orange color in their sides and fins while the male will pretty much be black and white with little other color.
Looks male to me. Females, even at extremely small sizes, usually have the orange visible on their underside.
Definitely male. Sometimes the males will get some color on them as well, but the females get more...especially orange.
