hello all, please can any one help me to sex and ID this fish.

it's about 11-12", a bit on the aggressive side.

any idea would be great!

hard to say what it is but it is some kind of amphilophus hybrid for sure

I'm thinking it could be a lyonsi X red devil or something and streaming fins like that usually indicate the fish is a male.

mayan cichlid hybrid. identical body shape and barring, only offputting fact is the colour. like said above its an amphilophus hybrid.
maybe even a low grade FH and Mayan cichlid

well for some reason, it's been starting to colour up now.

you can see the black dotts on the body much easier.

also the yellow between the black bars are more intents.

the fins give me the feeling that it can be a male, but at this size won't it have some kind of hump?
