My buddy gave me his cat which got to big for his 5 gal, which I will make sure he never gets a fish to outgrow that again. But here it is, and I have no idea what it is, I don't know my cats to well, can you help me?? Hes about 4 inches and I am giving him night crawlers which he rapidly gobbles up.

looks like a nice juvie
Yeah, it is beautiful condition and very active.

Talk about being a monster too, when I put him in I had several 1 inch small swordtails in there with him, all thats left of them is one 3 inch male swordatil. It is baffling me though whether he ate them or not becasue he seems so small to have eaten them, but I looked around the tank to see if they jumped, but they are no where to be found.

i just got one from down at da walz martz plaze last week, and with in a week he has grown 1.5 inches in a 65 gal tank, got him for my pond. i had a nice 8 incher, but he bailed on me.

yeah its common for them to eat other fish, my 8 incher was in a "community wach" program, where he thought he was the mayor and ate all the citizens, and my lil 4 incher sucked down half a 2 in convict.

If you plan on keeping him start making arrangements now! They are quite hardy.

Ictalurus punctatus ;)

Its a baby channel cat. The spots will fade as it grows, and they are great for ponds w/ larger fish. I had 2, one was about 24" and the other was close to 30" Once I found a 15" koi missing its head floating in the pond....
